Product Description

This trailer-end 7-Pole Semi HD Pin Connector allows you to transfer electrical power from your tow vehicle to  your trailer’s wiring harness. It features a die-cast zinc housing through which you can thread wires for your trailer’s ground, signal, and light connections. Each wire connects to one of seven corresponding contacts:

Wire Colour Application Recommended Wiring Configuration
White Ground 8 gauge
Black Clearance, side marker, identification lights 12 gauge
Yellow Left turn, hazard signal 12 gauge
Red Stop lamps & anti-lock devices 10 gauge
Green Right turn & hazard signal 12 gauge
Brown Tail, rear clearance, marker & license plate lamps 12 gauge
Blue Auxiliary circuit 10 gauge

Those 7-Pole Semi HD Pin Connector connections terminate in seven round, floating solid brass pins. Each pin is coated with dielecrtic, non-conductive grease to stop corrosion and resistance. The pins also minimize voltage loss and align with corresponding pins on your vehicle’s truck-side power socket, creating optimum contact. All seven pins are set in a high-impact ABS thermoplastic insert at the front of the housing.

The tapered back of the housing features jumbo finger pulls for easy disconnection after each haul. Inside is a cable lock system with a metal insert designed to secure and protect your wires after this connection process:

  1. Loosen retainer screw at back of connector, open cable lock system so you can push wires through.
  2. Undo set screws at front of connector.
  3. Remove front insert from housing for a clear view of your work.
  4. Attach connection points.
  5. Replace insert in housing. Tighten set screws.
  6. Set retainer screw at back of housing to tighten metal insert so it holds wires tight and minimizes space for dirt & moisture to get in and compromise your connection points.
